LACP on CAT 6500

Hi,

Our cat 6509 has many port channel configured with channelprotocol as PAGP, now we would like to enable LACP on few ports to bundle them in channel, by ebabling LACP on 6509 as below

"set channelprotocol lacp 6"

Will this effect the exsisting port channels pagp on module 6?

Regards,

Re: LACP on CAT 6500

Yes, it will.

Based on the config guidelines:

All ports in an EtherChannel must use the same protocol; you cannot run two protocols on one module.
