LAN performances

Dear ALL,

I've experienced two different tarnsfer speed associated to two switch:

one is a simple 4 ports without administration but with good performances, the other

is a Catalyst 2900 but I think it was not properly configured.

Please could you give me guide lins in order to get good/standard configuration

for switch and ports ?

not much to configure , you do have to make sure both the switchports and the pc nics match for speed and duplex . If the switch is auto then the pc or server nic must be auto also.
