Hi Jouk,

As you said your host cannot ping the ethernet interface of router which means it cannot ping its gateway.

Also in ARP output you pastes it has incomplete arp entry

"Internet 194.145.171.16 0 Incomplete ARPA "

Can you check the connectivoty between your host and router and also if possible try adding a static arp entry for this host and see if that resolves the issue.

Regards,

Ankur

i checked connectivity and add static arp entry:

arp 194.145.171.16 0011.098d.bbf2 ARPA

but it did not help

what is the ip of your gateway router

on the ethernet of cisco 2620 : 194.145.171.1

Hi Jouk,

From the same kachine can you ping any other machine in same subnet? ALso is the the only machine in problem? Do you have any firewall installed on this machine? Is it windows xp machine?

Regards,

Ankur

This host can ping the other hosts in LAN exept router, there are no firewall. It is Win2K machine and icmp are enable on it
