Can any one please help me to understand what is layer2 interface & layer3 interface ?? and why we are using Layer 3 interface for creating SVI's ?
If one is stack switch & another is access switch..then where to create SVI's?

Layer 2 interface is usually a switchport which is belongs to a vlan also in access mode. usually we are plugging end devices in layer 2 interfaces.
Layer 3 interfaces are mainly used for routing with a uplink router. In layer 3 switch we can change behavior of a layer 2 switchport to layer 3 interface using no switchport command in interface configuration mode. Creating svis are for intervlan routing and routing between layer 3 switch. Most commonly svi s are creating in layer 3 switches which one reside in distribution layer.
Hope you understand what I mentioned.
