Layer 3 on Catalyst Switch 2950 Series

Does the Catalyst Switch 2950 Series supports layer 3 switching? Or, which IOS image supports layer 3 switching on the Catalyst Switch 2950 Series?

2900 series are only layer 2. you would need to upgrade to a 3560 or a 3750.

Catalyst 2950s are layer 2 switches therefore IOS won't make a difference. Unfortunately you will need a different switch.

2900s dose not support layer three capabilities but it support layer 2 to 4 intelegent such as QoS marking

and RACL and class-map based on IPs ( but no routing)

while 3500s and above support layer 2 3 4 capabilities and intelegent
