Layer2 switch with 12 or 24 FE ports 100BaseLX

I need 100BaseLX Layer2 aggregation switches ..

The IE3000 offers 8 ports 100Base-SFPs ... is there a 19'' model (not rugged) with 12 or 24 ports ?

- the L3 metro switch are too expensive

- the 3750 and 3750x 12 or 24 do NOT support 100BAseLX SFPs (GLC-FE-100LX)

Any suggestions other than buying external FE converter, using IE3000  switches or buying expensive metro switches ?

thx.

Re: Layer2 switch with 12 or 24 FE ports 100BaseLX

The only other option I can find that might interest you is the ME3400E (ME-3400E-24TS-M). The list price is slightly more than the 8-port IE3000 (IE-3000-8TC), but at least it offers 24 ports.

I know the 12-SFP port 3750-X doesn't support the GLC-FE-100LX, but it is much more expensive than the other switches mentioned anyway.

100meg SFP compatibility matrix:

ME3400E data sheet:

Note that the ME3400E is newer than the ME3400, which is now End-of-Life
