Learning BGP path

Please does anyone have a formula or ways in which to learn the BGP path selection path for routing or exams purposes?

Ummh, not exactly what I needed. Yes I have the pathway but as it is such a lot to remember, I wanted to find out if anyone has devised a self study way in which they can remember all that needs to be done/remember?.

I have understood your point.Over a period of time I have remembered all the steps and generally refer to the link pasted above. As such I dont have any general formula or Metrci that I can help you with. Lets wait for some more replies and see if anyone has this.

Hello adetutu,

I used to remember it using the following statement:

"We Love Large American Omlet Made In River"

W - weight

L - local pref

L - locally orinated

A - AS Path

O - Origin

M - MED

I - Ibgp vs Ebgp

R - Router ID

Do you wanna try it too ??? haha... I dont eat Omlets though !!!
