LMS Placement

We are following the cisco three layered model design in our campus with 6500 at the core,4500 at the distribution and 3750 at the access.we have layer 3 links between the core and distribution switches. we would like to implement LMS 3.1 what would be the best place for this server.should be in the server farm,

or DMZ or any where.

I think LMS can be places between Layer2 and Layer 3. a feature called Cisco device discovery is available in versions of Campus Manager prior to LMS 3.0.1. The network administrator can discover the devices using different protocols, such as Cisco Discovery Protocol, BGP, OSPF, Address Resolution Protocol (ARP), HSRP, cluster, routing table, and ping sweep on IP range, that are activated at different layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model in the device.
