load balancing internet connection

Hi all, we have 2 internet routers using hsrp. behind these is a firewall on a public ip address, would it be possible to use both internet routers and load balance the traffic over them?? I know we can use mhsrp but that means coming from different source networks, we only have one firewall forwarding to the virtual address of both routers, can we do it at all ?

many thanks

Carl

Re: load balancing internet connection

With HSRP you can't do load balancing (only if you use two different group and subnet) since it uses only one member of the group for actual traffic forwarding. Try the GLBP instead if supported on the router.

Hope it helps,

Krisztian
