Does anyone know of any documentation for Load balancing on a catalyst 3560e switch with vlans.

**I have very limited skills when it comes to Cisco or any other networking devices.

Kind Regards,

Lee.

Load balancing in what sense as there are multiple types eg.

L2 etherchannel load balancing

L3 GLBP load balancing

If you are referring to traditional load balancing in terms of server farms such as web servers and load balancing between the servers then no a 3560 cannot do this. You would need either a dedicated load balancer or there are load balancing modules that you can use in a 6500 chassis.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the reply. I only need for redundancy and I've read that Flexlink supports this.

As mentioned I have limited knowledge when its comes to networking.

Thanks,

Lee.

Using Spanning-Tree for VLAN redundancy purposes might help as well.
