Locked: line cons 0, login local

Hi, on a 3750, if I do:

line cons 0

login local

Then I did not set any user name.

When I attempt to logon, it prompts for a username though.

What would be the username and password I should use in this case? Thanks.

You will need to create a username/password as there is no default as far as i know.

Re: Locked: line cons 0, login local

If you're not able to login via telnet password recovery is your only option.

Press on the mode button for 10seconds. The switch will reboot and rename startup (config.text.renamed)

When you're in privileged mode, you can do a copy config.text.rename run.

Now you can set a username and password.

The other way to do password recovery is pushing on the mode button while booting

>rommon mode

rommon1>flash_init

rommon2>rename flash:config.text flash:config.renamed

reset

en

copy

copy config.renamed run

username xxxx secret yyyy
