Log Messages on VSS

Hi,

from a few days ago I can see the following messages one or two times for day:

Oct 16 11:27:06.115: %FM-SW1-6-FM_CONSISTENCY_CHECK_LOG_STATUS: Consistency Checker found inconsistency.

Consistency run details : Timestamp 2013-10-16@11:27:06. Log Id: 798

Please use 'show platform feature-manager consistency-check log 798'

to get details about the failed consistency checks.

Oct 16 15:57:06.654: %FM-SW1-6-FM_CONSISTENCY_CHECK_LOG_STATUS: Consistency Checker found inconsistency.

Consistency run details : Timestamp 2013-10-16@15:57:06. Log Id: 807

Please use 'show platform feature-manager consistency-check log 807'

to get details about the failed consistency checks.

If use the command "show platform feature-manager consistency-check log 807", talk about hardware inconsistency I suppose that refers to TCAM, but I can't more information about it.

Hola David.

Feature manager consistency checker (FMCC) is bascially desinged to check in-consistency between software and hardware tables based on configs. Changes or interface events; by defaults it run every 30 min.

Inconsistency is caused for RBACL feature:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_white_paper09186a00800c9470.shtml#wp42096

I would suggest to reload the switch, or in case of dual supervisor perform a force-switchover and keep monitoring if the notification comes back up again.

Thanks for your help Wilson,

I reboot the VSS a week ago, these messages out before and they have come back after a week.

Regards,

David.

Hello all,

we got the exact same problem here, what could cause this inconsistency? Does it mean that the TCAM (at the Control Plane interface??) loses some of it's information or that it doesn't get there after config change?
