logging problem

Hi

My Cat4506 didn't show terminal logs when i changed configuration ex. i shutdown interface but it showed only

"%SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by". I configured logging buffer debugging and logging monitor debugging , it should show the log interface up/down or admin down. why ?

Thanks

Re: logging problem

Hi,

Use the "show logging" command to check your logging levels to different facilities.

Use the "logging console informational" to set the logging level for your console. It will then copy the interface up/down messages to the console port.

Re: logging problem

Hi

I tried to connect via vty ,key command terminal monitor and show logging but it didn't show anything except "%SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console admin via vty0"

I wondering about this. pls suggest me

Thanks

Re: logging problem

if you do show logging, is logging monitor disabled?

else: config)# logging monitor

On certain images for 4500 and 6500, link status logging is globally disabled

Re: logging problem

You must the command "logging event link-status" at the global or interface level to see interface up/down conditions .
