Hello,

I just shopping for a new router series 3900

I first connected with ID cisco / cisco, but I did not pay attention to a banner that says "IF YOU DO NOT CHANGE THE PUBLICLY-KNOWN CREDENTIALS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE

TO LOG INTO THE DEVICE AGAIN AFTER YOU HAVE LOGGED OFF "

there, I can not connect me again, please have the backup ID?

can you please help me?

By default, the username/password is "cisco/cisco".

And then you go into configuration mode and change it to whatever you want.

config t

username blah password blah

enable secret blah

end

it does not work, because I already connected the first time and I forget to change the default ID,

because the banner:

"IF YOU DO NOT CHANGE THE PUBLICLY-KNOWN CREDENTIALS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE

TO LOG INTO THE DEVICE AGAIN AFTER YOU HAVE LOGGED OFF "

1.  Remove or Eject the CF at the back of your router.

2.  Go here and skip process 1 to 4.  Go to Step 5 directly.

3.  After you have entered "confreg 0x2142", insert the CF.

4.  Continue to step 6.
