Re: Mac Address 0201.0000.0000

See what kind of device is connected to 4/7 and see if that device somehow connects back to the switch connected on 1/1. The mac is not assigned to a manufacturer so it could be a statically assigned mac on that host, or a traffic generator such as ixia, etc.

Re: Mac Address 0201.0000.0000

Hello Uzziel,

this is probably a valid MAC address but associated to a VIP of some server:

what is connected out those two ports ?

this is can be a case of NIC teaming with some mismatch between server configuration and switch configuration

Hope to help

Giuseppe

When I check the MAC address at this website.... http://standards.ieee.org/regauth/oui/index.shtml

It comes back as unknown. Can you trace back and see what is connected?

Mike
