I need to demonstrate to a customerin the industrialsegment, the functionality ofmappingMAC-to-VLANby centralized way without using802.1x cause many devices usedin hisnetwork does notsupport that protocol.
For clarity, the clientwould like tocentrallymappingfor eachMAC to specificVLANandwhen usersconnect toany portof theswitcheswill be assigned tospecificVLANbased on themac-addressof the user.
I have searched for a solution on CISCO site but only found as a possible solution the VMPS server but that solution is only supported for CatOS and not in IOS.
How can I implementthisfunctionality withsome other protocolavailablenatively on theCiscoplatform?
