I need to demonstrate to a customer in the industrial segment, the functionality of mapping MAC-to-VLAN by centralized way without using 802.1x cause many devices used in his network does not support that protocol.
For clarity, the client would like to centrally mapping for each MAC to specific VLAN and when users connect to any port of the switches will be assigned to specific VLAN based on the mac-address of the user.
I have searched for a solution on CISCO site but only found as a possible solution the VMPS server but that solution is only supported for CatOS and not in IOS.
How can I implement this functionality with some other protocol available natively on the Cisco platform?
