I have IBM bladecentre with stacked 3110X on default IP. The way to manage the 3110X is telnet from the AMM. We want to change the IP so that they can be monitored and accessed through the AMM uplink/external interface.
there was history of failed setup which i don't have details on, and i get conflicting advise that 3110X in stack mode cannot be cli accessed through AMM. Reason why we need this setup is to have separate data and management path.
my question is if 3110X in stack mode can be managed through AMM. If so, if there is a procedure on how this is done, i.e stack cable removed first, change IP on AMM, then patch the stack cable?
