marking return packets on telnet session

Hello All,

I have a question concerning QoS.

I initiate a telnet session into a router. the incoming packet is marked AF22.

I want the return packet to have the same marking.

I understand that it can be achieved using a control-plane output policy to set the dscp value.

(this link describes how to do this on ASR - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios-xml/ios/qos_plcshp/configuration/xe-3s/qos-plcshp-ctrl-pln-plc.pdf)

Another way could be to mark the packet on the egress policy, I'm not in favour of this tho.

I did find a command ip telnet cos HEX but that is for telnet session initiated from the router.

Does anyone know another way?

(is there a magic command to trust the dscp marking it received? hope hope hoping)

Thanks a million!

Phil

Actually, ip telnet cos worked. You have to logout then login again. Great!
