%MGMT-5-LOGIN_FAIL issue CAT 4912 CATOS

I have a customer site that is generating the following error message on a CAT 4912 with 7.6(8) CATOS. There is no connection to the console port and yet we see the below error message and reboot has not fixed the problem.

IP Address: 2006 Oct 17 02:56:42 gmt -05:00 %MGMT-5-LOGIN_FAIL:User User Access VerificaP failed to log in from Console - max attempt reached

"ip address here..but I omitted it"

Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like you have permit lists configured and someone out on the network at the address you omitted keeps trying to login , you are probably going to have to track down the user at that address and see what that pc is doing..
