Moving few vlans from current switch to other switches. Do you want to extend the same vlans across the new switches? Do you want to have totally different vlans on new switches or you want some of the vlans that are running in the prsent setup to run on the new switches? Ifyes, then what all other vlans you will run on the new switches, will they be totally different?

Please explain you need and design in details.

hi amit singh,

thank yoou for your reply. I want some of the vlans that are running in the prsent setup to run on the new switches. Then all other vlans you will run on the old switches, It will load balance the vlan ?

thanks.

please advise.

Hi,

The reply from the post requires more information inorder to get the things sorted out, so could you please put your requesst under the following points:-

1. Do you want a Centralized VLAN Management ? ie when you create a VLAN, it should be avaialble on all the switch across the network?

OR

2. Do you want a decentralized VLAN environment, where-in all the Switches would run independant VLAN implementation across the network?

3. In total how many VLANs you want to put?

Looking forward for your reply.

Regards,

Wilson Samuel
