mls qos configuration

Hello regarding the following interface level mls qos configuration. I understand the command 'srr-queue bandwidth shape 3 0 0 0' overrides the command 'srr-queue bandwidth share 1 70 25 5' and in turn, the command  'priority-queue out' overrides the command 'srr-queue bandwidth shape 3 0 0 0'.

If this is true, then is it fine to delete the top two commands as they are superfluous ?

Thank you kindly.

srr-queue bandwidth share 1 70 25 5
srr-queue bandwidth shape 3 0 0 0
priority-queue out

Hi

The share command will setup the bandwidth sharing across all queues.
The shape will limit the maximum bandwidth across queues.

In your example, the shape only shape the Q1 but not others. As your setting the priority queue to the interface, the shape command is useless and you can remove it.
However the share should stay to setup sharing across remaining queues.

Hope that helps.

Thanks
Francesco
