Monitoring Power output on a POE switch

We just installed 12 AP's on a Cisco 3560 POE switch which currently has 6 AP's already connected to it.

The Customer is asking us to montior the power consumption on  the switch.

What are the recommended methods for accomplishing this?

Thanks You for any input!

What do you mean power consumption of the switch?

I mean when you have ports providing PoE, it's not as if it goes up or down anytime.  The power consumption of the switch will remain constant.

I assume he means the POE, as with that load it may be running close to capacity. You can use 'sh inline power'.

With regards to your comment, surely the switch power consumption would increase in proportion to the POE draw?

Thanks and yes I am referencing the POE on the ports.  We have a 24 port POE switch.  It formerly only had 6 Cisco Meraki AP's connected to it.  Due to recent enhancements at the Customer site, we have added another 12 AP's.

We must monitor the power consumption now that we have added the additional AP's...

Thank You
