I'm putting in a new VMware EMS server for testing, our first. I'm not going to run trunks to this server but it is going to be attached to two different Catalyst switches that are trunked together. Since the EMS server has it's own virtual ethernet switches do I have to be concerned with spanning tree? I usually have portfast on to switch ports that connect to servers should I not do that in this case? Any other considerations I should address that someone here has come accross?
Thanks
