Multicast problem

Hi all,

I have begin implementing multicast in an enterprise environment with catalyst 6500 and 4500 in a L3 routed network as in the picture:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/i/200001-300000/270001-280000/271001-272000/271570.jpg

The access network with 4500 switches are extend the LAN at L2 with 3560,2960,2940 switches. I use PIM and IGMP for distributing multicast traffic on the network and  have a WMS server as the multicast source connected in the core. Clients/receivers connected to 4500 and 3560 are working fine, but I  have some problems with 2940 and 2960 switches.

The problem is that the movie/stream is “jagged” and it stops buffering for periods. The higher rate, the worse.  If I change the 2940/2960 with an 3560 its works fine.  The switches are L2 and are running igmp snooping.

Any suggestions or experiences with multicast on these switches?

Thanks,

Vegard
