I have a few 2960G switches connected into a ring topology with 3750E (EMI) stack. The 2960G switches are configured with 2 vlans. There are some multicast sources that must be connected to 2960G switches and the hosts receiving multicast traffic will be located on 2960G but in different vlan. Is it enough to configure IGMP snooping on 2960G switches and PIM routing on 3750E to enable multicast on the network?
Yes, that's the right approach. In addition, I recommend going with PIM SM on the interfaces and static RP on the 3750 stack.
