Multiple VLANs - Internet access via Comcast Business Gateway

In attempting to provide internet access to one of our offices I've run into a problem.  There is a Comcast Business Gateway at the edge.  Behind the gateway is a LAN comprised of several VLANs.  The VLAN that is on the same network as the Comcast box is able to access the internet.  The remaining VLANs cannot.  Devices on those VLANs can ping the Comcast box but go no further.  Could this be a limitation of the gateway?  Would putting a router in front of the gateway and making it (the gateway) a pass through be a solution?

Any help would be appreciated,

Jerry

Multiple VLANs - Internet access via Comcast Business Gateway

Hi Jerry,

Did you have a "default route" configured in your Router?

0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 comcat server ip

Provide your router config would help to investigate further.

Multiple VLANs - Internet access via Comcast Business Gateway

Naidu,

Thanks for your response.  Yes, there is a default route pointing to Comcast.  When I do a traceroute from the VLANs in question, the traffic stops at the Comcast box.

Multiple VLANs - Internet access via Comcast Business Gateway

Hi Jerry,

And from Comcast you are able to access Internet?
If you are able to access internet from Comcast server, check are there any settings missing in the Comcast server those needs to be added or corrected.
