Re: N7K-C7010-FAB-1

Hi Ibrahim,

The F2 series line cards are line rate.  It will provide you 48*10=480 Gbps per slot for a total of 384 10Gig line rate for a 7010 chassis

This is using FAB-2 cards, which delivers 550Gbps per slot.

have a look:

Hi Ibrahim

Here is the datasheet for FAB2 module:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps9441/ps9402/ps9512/data_sheet_c78-684211_ps9402_Products_Data_Sheet.html

Basicaly it's a new generation of fabric modules to be used with linecards F2 and M2

Fab2 offers much higher bandwidth (110 gbps per linecard) which is required for linerate 48port F2 and other new modules.

All M1 and F1 modules can be used with Fab1. Running Fab1 with F2 cards  or runnig mix of fabrics on the chassis is not recommended.

HTH,

Alex
