N7K/fabricpath/vPC peer link

Hello

I'm having trouble understanding what the issue is.

I have 2 different networks, each with 2 pairs of N7K's (each using 2 VDC's) with multiple N5K's connected to all N7K's and both the VDC's.

My set-up works fine for one network but not for the other.

The problem is related to the vPC peer link on fabricpath.

I'm running NX-OS  version 6.1(4)

Following is output from my N7K's in the faulty network:

***************************************************************************
N7K11-ione# show vpc

Hi Fedric,

Please check below:

For fabricpath isis adjacency to come up, the peer link needs to be a "P2P" interface not a "broadcast" interface.

Hi

Thank you for the input but this isn't the case in my set-up.

The Po's are configured as P2P, see output:

N7K11-ione# show run all | section "interface port-channel1" | grep medium
  medium p2p
  medium p2p
  medium p2p

N7K12-ione# show run all | section "interface port-channel1" | grep medium
  medium p2p
  medium p2p
  medium p2p

(before doing a grep I had a look at the full config...)

Thank you

Frederic

Hello

Before posting my question I had verified almost everything EXCEPT for fabricpath authentication!

Seems that I made a mistake in copy/pasting my config.

The fabric path authentication was missing on my port-channel used for peering.

But thanks for the input!
