Nat on a Stick

Hi,

Has anyone implemented a working Nat on a Stick?

I am looking for 3750 configurations for Nat on a stick.

Our users need to access the camera monitoring from home as well as in work.

We will like to setup the monitoring software with public address (and port) of the cameras, as the users use the same configuration at home and work.

DNS will not work for us as the monitoring settings only accept IP.

Cheers,

Pei Wai

Re: Nat on a Stick

Hello Pei Wai,

C3750 is a multilayer switch and does not support NAT in any form only C6500 supports NAT, you would need a SW based router to support NAT.

I'm sorry to give you bad news

Hope to help

Hello Pei Wai,

This configuration is called 'NAT on a stick', as the router will forward to the same end of the stick.Best way to use it with indeed a loopback, but also with route-maps. This could help you.

Check out teh below link ...

Re: Nat on a Stick

Hi Ganesh,

But the examples of the link does not include when a server/ machine hosted internal needs to be accessed with a public address internally and externally.

Anyone has something closer?

Cheers,

Pei Wai.
