we getting some message in our core switch

%CDP-4-NATIVE_VLAN_MISMATCH: Native VLAN mismatch discovered on TenGigabitEthernet1/0/8 (80), with DSW1.P1.A GigabitEthernet1/0/28 (1)

when we receive this log on our switch, at the same time we lost our connection with our server. and after re-login connection start normally.

TenGigabitEthernet1/0/28 (80) is our distribution switch where we create some port in vlan 80.

TenGigabitEthernet1/0/8 (80) is our router port( huwai). connected to our different location.

Hi!

You are using diffrence native vlans, TenGigabitEthernet1/0/8 (80)  you are using vlan 80 some natove and  GigabitEthernet1/0/28 (1) you are using vlan 1. Can you post show Interface trunk and show run on both switchs?

/Mohammed

Hi,

The native vlan must be the same on both ends (80 or 1), usually it does not affect but generates a lot of message, the best practice is not use the VLAN 1 for native vlan, create a new one just for that role and applied it under the trunk interfaces.

Hope it is useful

:-)
