Need help on Cisco IOS error..

We have a switch with 12.2(53)SE2 ios running on it ,it logs the below error multiple times and due to this the InterMapper shows the device is down for 26sec where the device never went down or no interface bouce any suggestions.

Dec  5 01:28:21 EST: %SYS-3-CPUHOG: Task is running for (2097)msecs, more than (2000)msecs (0/0),process = SNMP ENGINE.

The error messages indicate a problem with SNMP processing.

If you are managing the device via SNMP, the problem is likely to result in SNMP replies not being sent.

As a result, the mgmt station will report the node as down although it is in fact up.

This may be related to a bug, please upgrade to the latest software.

You may also try to reduce the number of parameters which is requested via SNMP.
