just installed our first 10Gb uplink..2960s > 4510R with SUP7. link is running really slow. Users are unable to load data from remote databases on the LAN. We are getting a lot of "errors in". Is on new new SM Fiber install. Error In is showing on 4510 and 2960s sides of link.

Made no special configurations for 10Gb link. Same as our normal 1Gb uplinks. Any thoughts or configuration solutions? One thought was clocking. Never had to do this on a switched link.

Switched shouldnt need any special config ( clocking etc )

Few things id check.

- Is the fiber clean? can you try a new one?

- MTU? What are they set to? do you have jumbo enabled? Are they the same at both ends?

- What "errors" are they on the interface?

All I can think of is either dirty fiber or bad mtu or maybe a bad transeiver? Do you have a spare to try? different port?
