Nexus 3548 couldn`t enable vPC feature

Hello All,

I have to implement to 2 Nexus 3548 switches for a customer. The customer like to use it as core-switch (small LAN) and also like to run VPC feature. Now I have tried to active it, but I got the follow error message:

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

chefan-swi01(config)# feature vpc

Error: vPC feature is not supported

Is their a way to get VPC working on these plattform?

Apologies for previous post. As far as i can tell even with the updated IOS i i don't think the Nexus 3548 suppors vPCs. See this thread for more details -

Hello Jon,

so do I understand it right:

Nexus 3548 also will NOT support vPC, even I do a firmware NX-OS upgrade to version 6.

If I would like to implement vPC I have to change the hardware to 3064x,right?

Thx for clarity.

That is my understanding yes as i can find no mention of vPC's actually being supported on the 3548.

However i haven't used these switches so you may want to either repost or move this post to the Data Center -> Server Networking forum where most of the Nexus queries are handled and where someone who has actually used these specific switches may respond -

Seems to be an error on the Nexus 3k product page.  We had a customer who purchased these for VPC support.
