we have 2 x 5548 running vPC and each have SINGLE uplink to 6500 forming a spare topology. This is running OSPF and BGP on top to connect to a WAN. WAN router connects to Nexuses.
When Nexus 1 receives traffic from WAN router destined to a BGP prefix, instead forwarding traffic to a 6500 as shown Nexus 1' routing table and show forwarding route A.B.C.D , it forwards to Nexus 2 over vPC. We have a vlan on vPC to run OSPF. It only happens to BGP prefix, not OSPF learned prefix.
We have 3 identical switches configured by someone else and would like to claim some of the Gigabit ports(G1/G2/G3/G4) for use on servers. When we try to change the wiring and configuration, we run in to connectivity issues. Attached is a des...
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
