Nexus 5548 DHCP server

Hello,

Does anyone know if it's possible to let the Nexus 5548UP act as a DHCP server? (or if it will be possible in future releases)

Hi Rob,

N5K is L2 only, it doesnt support to have DHCP server on it.
Please take a look at the data sheet, under Product Specifications, you will not be able to find any L3 features such as routing.

Also 5K does not support routing protocols but it does support inter vlan routing

On N7k you will have these features.

Please rate the helpfull posts.

Naidu.

The 5548UP is not the same as the 5010/5020 swith.

This switch has also a Layer3 daughter card.

I have Layer-3 card and the enterprise featureset on my 5548 switch. Is it possible to enable DHCP server on the switch? The goal is to have one small subnet with DHCP for engineers visiting the data center. I have no other servers capable of providing DHCP services.
