Nexus 5K - SVI Interface Down after installing Enterprise Licence
I have a Nexus 5K with no licence installed which is about to get in production in our network. I tried to install a LAN_ENTERPRISE_SERVICES_PKG licence and faced a unexpected behaviour in the equipment.
After have installed that licence in the equipment, an SVI interface which was up and working properly went down making the equipment unreachable in our network. After have uninstalled the licence, SVI came up again.
WNCPQACCN1# sh int vlan 999 Vlan999 is down (Non-routable VDC mode), line protocol is down Hardware is EtherSVI, address is 002a.6a5a.6f41 Description: "Gestion in-band" Internet Address is X.X.X.X/X MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec
After some googling I found that it has happened because I activated an L3 base licence without having a L3 Routing Module installed but it did not convince me and I would like a more technical explanation why it has happened. Does anyone know about a documentation where this behaviour is explained?

This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
