Nexus 6001 SVI inband management

hi all,

I have a fabric path solution with 2x 7710 and  4x 6001, all switch are connected with fabricpath and each 2x6001 in vpc+ topologe, i want to have inband management on each 6001 with a SVI but also want to have the SVI up on each vpc secondary role switch when the peer link is down. The 6001 only have this SVI for management. I have tried the dual-active exclusive interface vlan  but without success, if i enable dual-active for the mgmt SVI i stop pinging the 6001 SVI's.

Is the dual-active exclusive the right way for doing this ?

As an alternative have you enabled vPC auto-recovery?
