I have quseiton regarding the N7K M-Series module architecture, M module has two forwarding engine, each forwarding engine includes a L2 enginer and a L3 engine. The packet header will be replicated and imported from I/O module Replication Engine, then goes through Ingress parser L2 lookup(pre-L3) -> L3 engine -> L2 lookup (post-L3) -> out to I/O module Relication Engine.
My question is what is the difference between the pre-L3 L2 lookup and post-L3 L3 lookup?
