HI Guys,

I have  a quick question regarding Nexus 7K configuration. I am really new to this. I am not able to configure interfaces on Nexus other than the VLANs. Is there anything i need to enable or check for this. that's the modules i have

Mod  Ports  Module-Type                         Model              Status

---  -----  ----------------------------------- ------------------ ----------

1    48     10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Module    N7K-M148GT-11      ok

5    0      Supervisor module-1X                N7K-SUP1           active *

10   32     10 Gbps Ethernet Module             N7K-M132XP-12      ok

I am getting this message when i try to configure interfaces.

N7K01(config)# int ethernet 1/1
                                  ^
Invalid range at '^' marker.
N7K01(config)#

please help me if you can.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Issue this command:

Show vdc

You might have a virtualised box (vdc) so interfaces are in different context

NO i have only the default VDC , what other than that i can check.

And if you do a show int status can are the interfaces listed?

AAA with command restrictions perhaps?
