Nexus HSRP

Hi,

I have a customer that is stretching VLANs between DC's using dark fibre. Each DC will have a pair of Nexus 5548UPs.

The question is can I run HSRP between the Nexus switches in the different DC's or can this only be between the paired Nexus switches in each DC?

Hi,

You can have HSRP between datacenters. You can have multiple HSRP speaker, one of them will be active. If you need HSRP be active in each datacenter, you can check HSRP localization. Basically, you need filter hsrp hello and some arp packets.
