Hi
just want get some common sense.
an unix zone remote nfs from another unix server, the actually traffic should be:
1. from route to get connection
2. keep connection on layer 2, no router involved (I mean if layer 3 and layer 2 is not same equipment
am I right?
Any comments will be appreciated
thanks in advance

Yes, you can put the NFS and the server both in the same vlan.

there are not on same vlan, they are in defferent vlan. but at same switch.
I want konw is, the traffic between them have to route every packet, or just initial connection for route, and rest will keep directly in the switch?
Please advice

Ok, if they are on different vlans, then every packet has to be routed from one vlan to the other, even though they both are on the same switch.
