We have NLB runnning on our Exchange email servers on 2 load balanced Cisco 3750's.
We are getting issues on our LAN were some users name ping the NLB virtual IP and some can't. I don't understand how NLB works to well, but I have read you need to add static arp entries to the switches, anyone tried this or experienced a similar situation?
Both servers have 2 nics, one is for the LAN which works fine the other is for the NLB and doesnt have a gateway (uses the LAN Nic), the NLB software then has a virtual IP created.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
