Hello ,

my problem is to connect a cisco 876 to a lan. When I connect to the fastethernet 0,1 ,2 , with a crossover to a pc i can connect to the router over telnet and ping it.

But when I connect the router on fastethernet 0 or 1,2,3 I can't connect to the router and on the router I'm only able to ping himself.

a debug ip packet shows:

telnet 192.168.251.1

Hello, how is the Switchport configured?

On which vlan is the Switch Management IP, VLAN1?

Maybe a show run interface xx where the router is connected to, helps us.

Will the switch route, who is 192.168.251.1 (seperate router) ?

Besides what was requested before, if the interface is down/down, make sure you are using the correct cable (straight)
