No keep alive and interface down Cisco 1921, bug ?

after this however another bug was found: the ISR would not save the command in its configuration.

The issue of not saving ‘no keepalive proto-up’ even after saving the config is due to a bug - CSCtx14349.

The bug CSCtx14349 has been fixed in 15.1.4M4 IOS as well as 15.2(4)T.

This is due to a bug - CSCtl51328.

IOS releases in which the bug is fixed –

15.1(04)M3

15.2(2)T

15.0(01)M8

15.1(03)T3

After upgrading the IOS to the any of the above, use the following commands to get the interface up/up.

  1. 1921(config)# service internal
  2. Go under the interface and –

1921(config)#int gig0/0

1921(config-if)# no keepalive proto-up

after this however another bug was found: the ISR would not save the command in its configuration.
