You are using CFS to sync NTP time, is this what you want to do?

Also, is this configured under admin VDC or other VDC contexts?

Regards,

jerry

Actually, i do not want to usee CFS. Standart NTP config is ok. But only cfs worked o other switch.

we have 4 ntp servsers. Nexus default vdc should sync from one of the servers. but it does not work. do you have any suggestion?

None CFS config should work. You can turn off CFS for NTP with the following command (from my memory):

no ntp commit

no ntp distributed

I am also assuming you can reach the NTP server via the management interface.

Regards,

jerry

last config is:

NX1# ping 10.10.10.29 vrf management

Hi,

Can you execute follwoing configuration on your Nexus 7K router and check.

ntp distribute

ntp server SERVER_IP

ntp server SERVER_IP

ntp commit

Thanks

Sri

ntp distribute and ntp commit will enable CFS on NTP which the original poster doesn't want to use.

jerry

ntp commit

i have tried that many times, it did not work.

you can try the following

clear ntp session

And check it with show ntp peer-status. If still doesn't work, remove all ntp server command and reapply them again.

NX1(config)# clear ntp session

Fabric Distribution not enabled for NTP

NX1(config)# ntp server 10.10.10.29 use-vrf management

NX1(config)#

NX1(config)# do sh clock

07:34:11.014 TURKEY Sun Jan 02 2000

I am assuming this is configured in the default VDC. If yes, I would like to see the NTP configuration of the server (if it is IOS). Just want to make sure there is no ACL blocking it.

jerry
