NX-OS: Is network statement still needed for EIGRP?

Per http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_NX-OS/IOS_EIGRP_Comparison, no network statement is needed under "router eigrp".  Instead, you configured it in interface mode.

However, the network statement is still an available command under "router eigrp".  What does it do?

Thanks!

You have 2 options, one is using the network statement under the EIGRP process and the other one is under the interface. Using the interface command is easier and cleaner.

This is the same with OSPF with most newer IOS images.
