OC-12 WAN service module in Cat 6509-E

In which slot should I insert WAN module in Cat 6509-E? I could not find any relevant document on it.

Fawad,

For OC-12, you need the SIP-400 module

It's just like a line card, it can be inserted anywhere in the chassis except on slot 5 and 6 (Supervisor Slots).

Once you have the SIP-400, then you need the SPA,

Thanks for your response. I have inserted the SIP-400 and the SPA in slot 4. Below is the output of "sh module". SPA is in slot 0. The lights are green. I think it is fine..

What do you think?
