Good day. How work OIR technology? When i insert supervisor card, switch going down for some seconds  or work nonstop?

6500?  Adding 2nd sup?  Normally, should not be any interruption to current forwarding.

Thanks. We have 6506 switch, who being rstp root. Once time second supervicer is die and switch work on 1 superviser. When  second superviser buy, we install him in 6506. In logs seen is good, but at same time ,when we install second unit, huper-v clusters is down with virtual machines.  Some problem was when we reboot 6506 and rstp rebuild. Now me interesting may installing supervicer on 6506 stop switch for long time to rstp start rebuild?
