Hey guys, I have some cisco 3750x and 2960x stacks that are using ether channel to uplink. There was a pwr glitch (again) on one switch stack and it rebooted.

  1. Core stack
    1. Uplinked - CA1 stack
    2. Uplinked - CA2 stack
  2. M1 stack
  3. R1 stack

1, 2, and 3 are in spanning tree redundant loop and CA1 and CA2 are uplinked right off of core

Last week m1 rebooted and ca2 stopped communicating on its only uplink after. Uplink ports were not lit.. Had to physical drive in and power cycle and all good.

Today M1 sw rebooted again and not CA1 is not responding.. I'm suspecting same problem… But why? And is there any way to get the port channel uplink on the core to get the other switch to communicate again without me driving in and rebooting CA1?

It sounds like a software crash. Can you collect the log file from the switch or if you have a syslog server before rebooting the switch?

Also, is there a crash file on the flash?

You may want to open a ticket with TAC and send the info from the switch.
